Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Habit Garden is an iOS habit-tracking app operated by Khadir Omar Ibrahim, Grenzstrasse 13, 5737 Menziken, Switzerland. The app helps you build habits and optionally block distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. This policy explains what data we collect, what we don't, and your rights.

2. Your screen time data never leaves your device

This is the most important thing to know: all Screen Time data, app-usage data, blocking activity, and flower vitality data are processed and stored 100% on your device. None of it is transmitted to our servers — ever.

Habit Garden uses Apple's Family Controls / Device Activity framework. By Apple's design, this framework technically prevents apps like ours from reading the identities of the apps you select or use. We cannot see which apps you block, which apps you open, or how long you spend in them. That data is opaque to us at the operating-system level.

3. Data we do collect

We store only two categories of data on our servers:

• Email address — used to create your account, sign you in, and contact you about your account.
• Habits you create — the title and settings of each habit (e.g. schedule, reminder preferences). No usage logs, no Screen Time data.

Purpose: providing the service and account management.
Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

We do not use ads, do not sell data, and do not embed third-party tracking SDKs.

4. Where data is stored

Account and habit data are stored with Supabase on EU servers in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1). We do not transfer stored data outside the EU/Switzerland.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and habit data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the associated data is deleted.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Swiss revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG/FADP), you have the right to access, rectify, delete, port, and object to processing of your personal data. California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and delete; we do not sell personal information.

7. Children

Habit Garden is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or on this page.
